About Mengyue
Dr. Jia is a harpsichordist devoted to Baroque and early Classical repertoire. She completed her doctoral studies in Historical Performance Practice (HPP), specializing in historically informed early keyboard interpretation. As a soloist and continuo player, she performs regularly with early music ensembles and vocalists in the Bay Area, including projects associated with the Berkeley Festival (BFX). She has also been invited to adjudicate piano competitions and to present lectures and masterclasses on Baroque music and performance practice. Her all-Bach harpsichord album is available on major streaming platforms.
Beyond music, Dr. Jia enjoys exploring new technology products, playing table tennis, and pursuing creative interests such as photography and painting. These activities provide fresh inspiration and balance to her artistic life.

• This harpsichord recital features vibrant Baroque music, ranging from elegant French dance movements and refined ornamentation to the rich counterpoint and brilliance of the German and Dutch keyboard traditions. The program spans the early, middle, and late Baroque periods, allowing audiences to hear the distinctive voices of each country and how musical styles change over time.
